The stats in my back office show traffic as UNKNOWN, what is does that mean?

Solution The software which runs our website is only able to discern the "traditional" web browsers. ie: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari

However, lots of people surf the web using their DVRs, satellite boxes, Nintendo Wii's, Playstations, cell phones, i-Pods, and other hand held devices. Whenever someone visits your affiliate link from anything other than a traditional browser, it appears as UNKNOWN because the software doesn't recognize it.
